A few weeks ago I was invited to attend the Tones of Beauty showcase at Cosmoprof. I wrote about it here. Cosmoprof is the largest national and international beauty tradeshow in the industry and includes a huge exhibition floor with every beauty brand you can think of represented. This year’s Cosmoprof was the first ever to include a luxury beauty showcase curated specifically with brands for multicultural consumers. The Tones of Beauty showcase, curated by love, Aunt Bonnie, brought together over 12 brands that cater to consumers of color, some of which I discovered at the show! Take a peek at what I got into:
The founder of love, Aunt Bonnie – Corey Huggins – introduced me to a slew of new brands and a handful of brands I already know and love.
For example, I’m obsessed with Earth’s Nectar and their brand team was on site displaying their newest products. I’m a big fan of their Monoi Oil Hair Milk and they have another product Coconut Curls that I got to try at the expo and now I’m in love with.
Other natural hair brands represented included Twista Sista – such cute packaging and a great collection of styling products for the naturalista.
TreLuxe, founded by an adorable couple and made from really safe and natural ingredients. I love that they have a travel sample pack. As a frequent traveler, having sample sizes of all your curly products is a must!
I’m all about the newest Korean beauty craze and ORG Skincare falls in line but is far from “trend”. I definitely see this skincare company becoming a beauty mainstay. They have an awesome line of products including their Mineral Peel for Face and their Oxygen Cleanser with Collagen.
I also stumbled on Naturally Bare – an eco-couture natural body collection featuring a yummy collection of naturally fragranced body butters, scrubs, lotions and perfumes.
Speaking of fragrance, CLIQUE by Roble was also on site. Really love the packaging of Roble’s fragrance. Black and gold is always so luxe.
There were SO many more awesome brands and I’ve covered those in my Bonnie Box review.
In addition to discovering new brands on the exhibition floor, I also went as a guest of love, Aunt Bonnie to a number of exciting VIP events. On Sunday evening, I attended a fun cabaret show for the Cosmoprof Beauty After Dark event. The next evening I attended a VIP cocktail reception to kickoff the closing of the tradeshow.
As someone who cares deeply about supporting brands and companies that are owned by and serve people of color, it was really an incredible and meaningful opportunity for me to travel to Las Vegas and cover this. I’m looking forward to attending again next year!
